The shutdown timeline

This isn't a future problem. It already started.

Stocky is being switched off in stages. The features retailers leaned on were stripped out a year ago — and the date that ends label printing is now weeks away, not months.

The gap nobody's talking about

Shopify's native inventory won't print your delivery labels.

Every migration guide points you at an inventory app. That solves stock counts. It does not solve the moment a delivery lands and you need a label on every item before it hits the shop floor.

What goes dark on 31 Aug

  • Print labels from a received purchase order
  • Barcode labels straight from your SKU list

What LabelLoom keeps running

  • Paste or import SKUs + quantities, get a label run
  • Correct Code-128 and EAN-13 barcodes that actually scan
  • Print any quantity of any single variant

Straight answers

Stocky shutdown & label printing

Can I still print barcode labels after Stocky shuts down?

Yes. Stocky's label printing stops when the app closes on 31 August 2026, but you don't need a full inventory app to print labels. LabelLoom prints barcode labels for a received delivery directly from a pasted or imported list of SKUs and quantities.

When exactly does Shopify Stocky shut down?

Stocky was removed from the Shopify App Store on 2 February 2026 and shuts down completely on 31 August 2026, when its APIs also stop working. Connected third-party tools stop functioning on that date.

Doesn't Shopify's built-in inventory replace everything?

Shopify's native tools handle stock counts and adjustments, but they don't reproduce Stocky's delivery label-printing workflow. That specific gap is what LabelLoom fills — no inventory platform required.

What printers does LabelLoom support?

Avery laser sheets, Dymo LabelWriter rolls and Zebra direct-thermal rolls, plus a custom-size builder. Every preset is scan-tested on real hardware before it ships, so a label that's offered is a label that scans.

How much does it cost?

There's a free tier of 30 labels a month, and an unlimited plan at $7.99 a month including delivery label runs and priority support.
